Yep. That’s how long Dain has been making a creative thing. Every. Single. Day. For nine months and counting. It is exhausting….for both of us at times. But he’s committed to the project and posting them all on his other blog. We told you about the premise back in May here. But in honor of Foodie Friday on the ol’ blog, we thought we’d share some of his food inspired creative things.
His first fall food piece was of course inspired by our caramel apples last week, but he has quite a few other edible creations.
Like the infamous U-cumber from my brother’s garden.

And his PB&J puzzle. That he ate after he created it since I always nag him when he wastes food.

Here’s Dain’s version of two peas in a canoe pod. I’m the one on the left. Obviously.

And here’s his corn horn. As a total aside, if you don’t have an air horn you should. Funniest thing ever when someone doesn’t expect it. Like Dain. Ours is from the dollar store if you’re in the market.

Dain also had a little fun one night that we made mojitos. Lime killer.

What does Dain say when someone says let me see your tootsie roll? He pulls this one out, which is good since the boy cannot dance.

What does Dain do for a creative thing while he’s traveling? Well, this gem was hatched on a flight. I was just glad he didn’t then eat the pretzels that were splayed across the tray table.

And one of my personal favorites? The gumball and pencil pool set.

He’s actually done quite a few more with food, but those are the highlights. He has 3 months left on his quest to make something creative every day for a year. And I think he’s awesome for sticking with it. Because it’s hard to do anything every single day. Especially something that you’re doing by choice.
